Dental Implants in Vancouver – Feel like Natural Teeth
What is a dental implant or tooth implant?
Dental implants are artificial teeth that are fitted into the jawbone to replace broken or missing teeth. They’re safe and strong enough to replace your natural teeth. With a little care and precaution, implants can last for many years. From one tooth to a complete set- you can implant any number of teeth. The process is done under sedation and hence painless. But like all other Vancouver based dental procedures, you may experience discomfort for a few days after the surgery. And from then on, it’s business as usual!
Dental Implant Options At KDC:
Replace Single Tooth: You can replace a single missing/broken tooth without letting the world know about it! The replaced tooth is aesthetically enhanced to match the natural look and feel of your teeth.
Replace Multiple Teeth: You don’t have to replace one tooth at a time. If two or more teeth are missing in a row, we can replace them with implant supported bridges. And to replace a full set of teeth, a full bridge is used.
Ridge Augmentation: Placing dental implants can sometimes be a problem because of deformities in the bone structure. This can be corrected by lifting the gum away from the ridge and filling them with bone substitute. This helps to ensure that implants last successfully for years.

Key Benefits
Implants can achieve several benefits:
- replace a missing tooth without affecting adjacent teeth
- maintain proper alignment by preventing teeth from moving into the gap left by a missing tooth
- support proper biting, chewing and speech
- restore confidence with a beautiful, healthy-looking smile
- support a bridge or denture for optimal comfort and function
Dental implants are artificial roots and teeth implanted into the jaw to replace missing teeth.
Today’s dental implants are durable, and feel and function like natural teeth. They are also crafted to shape and enhance your smile even more than the teeth they replace!
FAQ
How long does the treatment take?
If you seek to get dental implants in Vancouver, the procedure should take about an hour for a single tooth.
Are there multiple appointments?
The implant will be placed in your mouth during the first appointment. The implant will be protected with a healing cap or immediate temporary crown and depending on the bone quality, we will give this between 2 to 5 months to integrate into the socket.
What does KDC do differently than other dentists?
Our dentist, Dr. Tejani, has been educated in aesthetic dentistry at a mastership level not only in implants but also in the structure of the bite in order to give you the best looking and functioning tooth.
How much does the treatment cost?
While the expense involved is of importance for many, the dental implant cost in Vancouver can vary depending on each individual clinic. Find out what are the standard tooth implant costs, based on your individual need. For additional pricing information please feel free to call us at 604-261-9304.
Does insurance cover this treatment?
Each plan is different so you will have to check yours. If covered, your insurance will typically cover the equivalent of having a crown or a bridge.
Is there downtime or post care associated with the treatment?
After the first visit, patients have commented that they have noticed fewer after effects than having a crown preparation in their mouth. You may feel a bit achy for a day or two as the gum will need some time to heal. During this time, you will need to be careful and use mouthwash for about 7 to 10 days and the gum should be fully healed after approximately 21 days. The implant will be integrated enough for restoration in approximately 3 months.
