Porcelain Veneers & Crowns Vancouver
Porcelain veneers and crowns are used for:
- whitening and brightening your smile
- closing gaps between teeth
- fixing broken, fractured, or decayed teeth
- replacing large or fillings to restore and strengthen teeth
- supporting brittle teeth that have had root canals
- instant orthodontics – straightening crooked teeth
- creating an even gum line
- replacing old, leaking crowns
Porcelain veneers and crowns are thin shells of porcelain fixed onto teeth to create a youthful, healthy, beautiful smile. They protect and strengthen tooth structure and the results are very durable, lasting many years.
Porcelain Veneers and Crowns can allow many patients to achieve a dramatic smile makeover without highly invasive treatments. A new smile has an instant anti-aging effect and we can help you create and enhance that dazzling, gorgeous smile just waiting to come out!
Porcelain Veneers and Crowns typically require 2-3 appointments over 1-2 weeks. We will design the shape and shade with you at your complimentary consultation. Our Kerrisdale dentists are specially trained in occlusion (how your bite feels), cosmetics, and the muscular structure of your face and jaws and work with our own highly trained ceramic artists to ensure a high quality, beautiful result.
It is often necessary to conservatively shape the teeth in order to remove any old restorations or damage, removing as little healthy tooth structure as possible. Temporary veneers and crowns will be placed over your teeth to protect them while our ceramic artists meticulously create your new porcelain veneers and crowns. When the lab has finished creating your new porcelain veneers and crowns, we will wash your teeth and bond them in.
